S\u00e5 det som formes i leire har n\u00f8dvendigvis ingen fast form; Det er \u00f8nskelig \u00e5 f\u00e5 leira over i et fast materiale for \u00e5 ikke \u00f8delegge det (fine?) som er formet i den <em>plastiske<\/em> leira. Det er her gipsen kommer inn, og gips som materiale er nesten \u00abfor godt til \u00e5 v\u00e6re sant\u00bb til denne jobben!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det finnes mange ulike formtyper til ulike arbeidsoppdrag, og den formtypen som (tradisjonelt) blir laget p\u00e5 leiremodeller er det som kalles <em>tapt form<\/em>, eller <em>forloren form<\/em> (eng. <em>waste mould<\/em>). Formen er en \u00abone off\u00bb p\u00e5 en myk (<em>plastisk<\/em>) modell (leire eller plastilin), og i st\u00f8peprosessen g\u00e5r b\u00e5de leiremodellen og gipsformen i stykker. Derfor tapt form; Formen g\u00e5r tapt for \u00e5 lage EN kopi av EN leiremodell. Foto: Peder Alme v\/ Norsk H\u00e5ndverksinstitutt 2026<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Formtypen kalles ogs\u00e5 <em>uekte form<\/em>, i motsetning til <em>ekte form.<\/em><sup data-fn=\"6c188320-fa61-4890-bce4-7ef6dd4654c5\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#6c188320-fa61-4890-bce4-7ef6dd4654c5\" id=\"6c188320-fa61-4890-bce4-7ef6dd4654c5-link\">1<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prosessen er som f\u00f8lger:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>P\u00e5 leiremodellen kastes (<em>skvettes<\/em>) et tynt lag med gips (ca. 5mm). Denne gipsblandingen b\u00f8r v\u00e6re sterk<sup data-fn=\"7ded9037-c0b9-42f2-b5c1-82e35c79057e\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#7ded9037-c0b9-42f2-b5c1-82e35c79057e\" id=\"7ded9037-c0b9-42f2-b5c1-82e35c79057e-link\">2<\/a><\/sup> og er p\u00e5 forh\u00e5nd farget med et pigment, som regel r\u00f8dt jernoksyd, og fargen p\u00e5 gipsen blir f\u00f8lgelig rosa\/ r\u00f8d. Det b\u00f8r skvettes jevnt og med nok kraft til \u00e5 sl\u00e5 ut luftbl\u00e6rer fra gipsen. Luftbl\u00e6rer lager s\u00e5r\/ hull i gipsfomen. Det kan skvettes med hendene, en murskje eller en pensel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>N\u00e5r det f\u00f8rste gipslaget er herdet (<em>avbundet<\/em>) kan det has p\u00e5 et nytt tykkere lag med gips (ca. 10-20mm). Denne gipsblandingen lager jeg som regel noe svakere enn den forrige, og jeg liker \u00e5 legge p\u00e5 sm\u00e5 punkter med leireslikker<sup data-fn=\"d07bd89d-8cfd-437f-b6ad-f29acdae0f4e\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#d07bd89d-8cfd-437f-b6ad-f29acdae0f4e\" id=\"d07bd89d-8cfd-437f-b6ad-f29acdae0f4e-link\">3<\/a><\/sup> p\u00e5 <em>strategiske steder<\/em>. Det er viktig at dette foreg\u00e5r trygt og sk\u00e5nsomt: allerede n\u00e5 er leiremodellen tapt, og gipsformen har all \u00abinformasjon\u00bb i seg fra leiremodellen. Gipsformen kan ikke f\u00e5 skader n\u00e5! Fasong p\u00e5 leiremodell og gipsform bestemmer hvordan dette kan tas fra hverandre.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leira tas ut av gipsformen. Ogs\u00e5 gipsst\u00f8pen\/ -kopien kan armeres med jern, lekter eller ogs\u00e5 jutestrie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>N\u00e5r st\u00f8pe- arbeidet er ferdig og gipsen igjen er avbundet kan gipsformen hugges av gipskopien. N\u00e5 virker det f\u00f8rste r\u00f8de laget som et \u00abvarsel\u00bb: da vet stukkat\u00f8ren at rett under det r\u00f8de er gipskopien, og da m\u00e5 det hugges forsiktig for \u00e5 ikke skade gipskopien! Denne viser ogs\u00e5 en ganske avansert fremgangsm\u00e5te for en s\u00e5kalt <em>ekte form<\/em>, med tr\u00e5ddeling og bruk av de tre klassiske formmaker- verkt\u00f8yene<sup data-fn=\"e80365aa-032d-43cd-a341-26a7e5c612b2\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#e80365aa-032d-43cd-a341-26a7e5c612b2\" id=\"e80365aa-032d-43cd-a341-26a7e5c612b2-link\">7<\/a><\/sup> kniven (<em>coltello<\/em> <em>per gesso<\/em>), spatelen (<em>spatol<\/em>a <em>per formatore<\/em>) og pensel (merk: jeg er p\u00e5 tynn &laquo;spr\u00e5k- is&raquo; her og med forbehold om feil i mine italiensk- kunnskaper!). Bildet viser bl.a. en leiremodell av en stor \u00f8rn med spredte vinger p\u00e5 en kraftig <em>konsoll<\/em>, og man kan jo fors\u00f8ke \u00e5 se for seg st\u00f8pearbeidet som m\u00e5tte til for \u00e5 lage en gipskopi av den. Earle Felber<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gipsmodellene kunne s\u00e5 overf\u00f8res til andre materialer (med atter andre formst\u00f8pingsteknikker), som f.eks. betong, og monteres p\u00e5 fasader m.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeg tror det er noe av dette som tiltaler meg med gipsmakerfaget, at det er en s\u00e5 stor kontrast i h\u00e5ndverket: at teknikkene er s\u00e5 manuelle, og materialene som i sin <em>natur <\/em>er s\u00e5 r\u00e5 og lik jord, i neste omgang gj\u00f8res om til vakre og bestandige objekter og omgivelser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fra det plastiske, myke, lette og forgjengelige. Til det faste, harde, tunge og bestandige.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Som fra modell\u00f8r til stukkat\u00f8r.
