I boken «Det Gamle skomakeri» (Boe, 1989) st\u00e5r det at de n\u00e5tlet i h\u00e5nden.
Det fikk jeg pr\u00f8ve og det var en forn\u00f8yelse \u00e5 jobbe slik. Litt plunder er det alltid med noe jeg gj\u00f8r f\u00f8rste gang, men jeg kjenner godt hvor sylen g\u00e5r i skinnet.
S\u00f8mmen ligger best i skinnet og noen av s\u00f8mmene ble knapt synlige fra skoens utside.
English summary: In the book «The old shoemaking» (Boe, 1989) It is told that shoemakers sew the uppers in the hand (no clamp). I sew this upper witout clamps and it was a good and tidy way to work.
